OceanStor Pacific 9546 Scale-out Storage OceanStor Pacific 9546 is a 4 U high-density and large-capacity storage device developed based on HW Kunpeng 920 processors. It delivers superb reliability and disk density. * Each OceanStor Pacific 9546 chassis provides 60 disk slots, a built-in guide rail and a cable tray, and all-FRU design. It supports cabinets with a depth of 1000 mm or above. * OceanStor Pacific 9546 has three configurations: one dual-CPU node per chassis, two dual-CPU nodes per chassis, and two single-CPU nodes per chassis. Each node of the dual-CPU model adopts 2 x 48-core Kunpeng processors, 16 x DDR4 memory modules, and all-PCIe 4.0 design. Each node of the single-CPU model adopts 1 x 48-core Kunpeng processor, 8 x DDR4 memory modules, and all-PCIe 4.0 design. OceanStor Pacific 9546 features HPC, high density, low power consumption, easy management, and easy deployment, and is applicable to Internet, scale-out storage, cloud computing, big data, and enterprise services. |
Cost-Effective Storage for Mass Data The entire series of scale-out storage systems supports Erasure Coding (EC), which provides industry's highest disk space utilization of 91.6%, 2.75x that of the traditional three-copy mode, greatly reducing hardware, space, and energy consumption. It can scale out to a massive number of nodes for flexible, on-demand resource purchasing and deployment. The decoupled storage-compute big data solution provides native HDFS capabilities and is compatible with mainstream big data platforms and components, meeting diversified data analysis service requirements and reducing TCO by 30%. OceanStor Pacific series can be sold by available capacity. Users can get what they buy, implementing optimal investment. | Maximized Efficiency for Diversified Data OceanStor Pacific series provides stable latency of less than 1 ms to quickly respond to mission-critical enterprise services. A bucket supports up to 100 billion objects, preventing large-scale applications from being reconstructed by bucket. In addition, OceanStor Pacific series provides excellent I/O throughput for scenarios with mass small files. Its fully symmetric scale-out architecture enables massive and linear performance scalability. Full-lifecycle storage system management predicts and processes resource usage and faults in advance, greatly improving O&M efficiency. | Everlasting Operations for Online Services OceanStor Pacific series leverages a leading cross-cluster scale-out active-active technology that supports service-level disaster recovery between two sites 100 km apart to achieve load balancing and protect enterprises' core data assets. It also adopts a powerful EC data redundancy protection technology that ensures stable application running even if four nodes or four cabinets are faulty at the same time. In addition, OceanStor Pacific series delivers comprehensive system subhealth detection and pre-processing capabilities that accurately eliminate potential network, node, and component faults in advance. Furthermore, it uses a sound end-to-end data consistency check technology to ensure high data availability in the event of concurrent services. |
Scale-out Storage system The cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) eras are witnessing exponential data increase. Newly emerging applications, such as high-speed 5G communication, high definition (HD) 8K video, autonomous driving, and big data analytics, are raising data storage demands. Enterprises are eager to expand their business boundaries, integrate storage resources in cloud, and use lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and more flexible and elastic deployment to address the rapid growth of unstructured data. In this context,scale-out storage becomes the optimal choice. HW OceanStor Pacific series (formerly known as OceanStor 100D) is an intelligent scale-out storage product and supports the business needs of both today and tomorrow. It provides elastic on-demand services powered by cloud infrastructure and carries both critical and emerging workloads. |
